The Hollow is a god of hunger that resides within a wheat field.

Description[]
The Hollow takes the form of a barren patch of land within a field of wheat. Any creature of life that approaches the patch begins to feel hungry, the feeling intensifying with proximity before being overtaken by a compulsion to consume anything nearby before eating themselves. Any being that makes it directly to the centre withers and dies immediately.[1]

Origins and Mythos[]
After Mr Finch noticed an area in their wheat field where nothing grew, he and his husband took to worshiping it as a joke. This worship caused the Hollow to grow into a real power, as they were inadvertently "willing it into life". As the barren patch increased in area, The Hollow grew in strength in godhood. The Finch's couldn't approach the area without their stomachs growling, and later could not approach it at all; any wildlife that got too close withered and died. Sometime later, they came up with the idea of feeding the god to reach a state of balance, and so the couple began keeping rabbits as they were the only animals that could breed fast enough to keep up with the Hollow.[1]
Prominent Followers[]
The Hollow does not have any organised following. The only known (accidental) followers are Mr Finch and his husband, Harold.
Notable Events[]
- Hayward is called out to the farm. Harold Finch invites him to the Outhouse.
- Mr Finch pulls a gun on Hayward and tells him that the deaths were accidental.
- Mr Finch runs into the Hollow to escape Hayward and he dies.
Trivia[]
- Mr Finch's husband, Harold, left in the middle of the night, it is unknown whether he walked into the Hollow or not.
